A Diver’s watch is meant to be legible, robust, precise, and most importantly, watertight. The following eight dive watches, which made a tremendous impact at the leading watchmaking and jewellery event, masterfully encompass all of these characteristics.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea
Waterproof to 3,900 metres (12,800 feet), the new Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea features a 44-mm Oystersteel case with redesigned lugs and sides and a broader Oyster bracelet, as well as a correspondingly adapted Oysterlock folding safety clasp. The unidirectional rotatable bezel is fitted with a 60-minute graduated Cerachrom insert in black ceramic.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M
Omega presented a new generation of this beloved watch, featuring 14 models: six in stainless steel and eight combining stainless steel and gold with Master Chronometer Calibre 8800.
Longines HydroConquest
Watertight to 300 metres, this diver’s watch combines contemporary technology with Longines elegance. The unidirectionally rotatable diver’s bezel is equipped with a scratch-resistant ceramic inlay that’s coloured to harmonise with the grey, black or blue dial, which is adorned with a sunburst pattern. Super-LumiNova glows on the indices and hands.
Certina DS Action Diver
The DS Action Diver easily complies with the strict ISO standard 6425 for diver’s watches. Watertight to 300 metres, the case houses the innovative Powermatic-80 movement, promising the utmost precision above and below the water’s surface.
Breitling Superocean Héritage II B01 Chronograph 44
This newcomer combines Breitling’s self-winding manufacture Calibre 01 and a stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel.
Seiko Prospex The 1968 Automatic Diver’s Re-creation Limited Edition
The limited edition consists of 1,500 models, each of which has a 44.8-millimetre-diameter stainless steel case that remains watertight to 300 metres. Calibre 8L55 amasses a 55-hour power reserve and can resist magnetic fields up to 16,000 A/m in intensity.
Edox Sharkman II Limited Edition
This watch’s 45-millimeter stainless steel case remains watertight to 100 bar, i.e. 1,000 meters. A scratch-resistant ceramic bezel can be used to preset the diving time and a helium valve allows molecules of the gas to escape. The back of the case sports an engraving. A Ronda quartz movement performs chronograph functions and shows the date at “4 o’clock”.
Citizen Promaster Marine Eco-Drive 200m Diver Chronograph
Three new models join the ranks of this professional diver’s collection, which complies with ISO standard 6425. The chronographs offer a sleek design and an advanced Eco-Drive movement.
