The Iconic car engineering company, Rolls-Royce has unveiled its participation in the yachting industry by creating an extraordinary superyacht concept in Amsterdam, dubbed as Crystal Blue. Having surprised everyone at the Global Superyacht Forum, this magnificent vessel has a hybrid propulsion platform and digital technology, so take a look.
This fresh LNG fuel-driven yacht will pack twin MTU M65-N generator sets, connected to a massive battery bank that provides 1MWh of power, while two carbon Azipull thrusters will take this yacht to a top speed of 20 knots.

Crystal Blue highlights an extremely futuristic approach both in her exterior and interiors. She as designed to operate with Blue Shadow, a 42-meter remotely controlled support vessel. The fuel tanks of the first vessel will be able to hold juice for up to 3,000 nautical miles while the second one will keep fuel supplies as well as water toys. Onboard Crystal Blue, the crew is going to be able to monitor and control Crystal Blue via sophisticated sensors, several cameras, and display screens.
This vessel comes as another example of how Rolls-Royce keeps on innovating both on-land or on-water. Many large superyachts already have the company’s Unified Bridge design, not to mention that the technology used for their first remote-controled tugboat is becoming a hit all around the world.
