Having recently completed its 60th anniversary, Sanlorenzo has unveiled the launching of two brand-new yachts at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival, which will take place from 11-16 September 2018 at Vieux Port & Port Pierro Canto. The two new yachts, SL102 and SX72, are characterized by the shipyard’s elegant and timeless style, refined, understated luxury and the merge between craftsmanship and advanced technology.

Sanlorenzo is one of leading shipyards in the world when it comes to the production of yachts and superyachts. Over the years, it has managed to raise up in international rankings and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the world of design, including Piero Lissoni, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Through these collaborations, the company has thus introduced innovations and styles that have allowed for reinterpreting the concept of space on board, one of Sanlorenzo’s distinctive assets. Now, Sanlorenzo returns to the international scene with two bold and innovative yacht projects.
SL102
With the aim of obtaining greater usability of the interior spaces and better communication with the exterior, the SL102 rethinks the well-established layout of a yacht, only keeping the deck on the starboard side and eliminating the port side one, which is carried on the roof of the structure, allowing through this asymmetrical configuration, never tried before, to recover about 10 square meters of area to benefit the interior.
Thanks to the desire to think differently, to dare to step outside of traditional customs, the company thus again has proven its aptitude for working on the concept of space, molding it at will every time, to give life to ideas pieced together by customers’ wishes.
SX72
Sanlorenzo, on the occasion of its 60th anniversary, has unveiled a preview of the newborn of its product range: the new SX72 crossover yacht. The concept behind this project starts once again from the company’s desire to propose a completely innovative approach to onboard space, an approach by which the Zuccon studio, for the exterior lines, and Piero Lissoni, as pertains to the interior design but also as the Art Director of the company, have interpreted the first version of the SX72, which will be officially presented at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018.
The SX72 is a classic motor yacht that incorporates the familiar feeling of the SX line, from a perfect integration between aesthetics and functionality to the large open spaces. In addition, this vessel features a wheelhouse on the upper deck, on the main deck, guests can find a continuous living area, a living room, a dining room and an open kitchen, and countless other spaces. Lastly, the swimming platform at the stern becomes an extraordinary beach club with over 18 square meters.
Regarding the occasion of its 60th anniversary …
Thanks to the management of Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO, the shipyard experienced extraordinary growth, raising its turnover from € 40 million in 2005 to 300 million in 2017 while retaining its total vocation for the complete customization of products. In 60 years, Sanlorenzo has in fact built over 750 yachts, each one different from the other because it is adapted to the specific requests of the client.
An unmistakable style above fashions, without a strained or an extreme stance, and a refined design, currently place Sanlorenzo yachts at the highest levels of international production, where the Italian shipyard, in its 60 years of history, has become synonymous with absolute excellence in terms of refinement, attention to detail, safety, onboard comfort, performance and continuous innovation in solutions, systems and construction methods.
