The sailing yacht Rox Star is the Luxury Yacht of the week. Luxury Yachts team will let you know why.
Few sailing yachts can claim a heritage of an established boat building calibre as much as the recently delivered 39.90 metre sailing yacht Rox Star can. Boasting a captivating blend of traditional Turkish-built quality and contemporary superyacht styling, this gullet-inspired sail yacht is certainly not your ordinary motor-sailor, and once on board, one realises that Rox Star has been brilliantly set up with true bluewater sailing in mind.
RELATED HISTORY: LUXURY YACHT OF THE WEEK – GRACE E
Designed in-house by Bodrum-based Oguz Marin Bodrum, Rox Star is dressed in a pearlescent black hull with matching sails and classic deck house. Her vast exterior deck space has cleverly been divided into separate areas dedicated to socialising, sunbathing and partaking in the sailing action. The atmosphere on board keeps with Rox Star’s relaxed cruising design, and guests are in for a real vacation experience during their time spent on this modern-classic beauty.
Rox Star has been fitted with a ketch rig designed for easy handling by her 6 crew, yet is able to be optimised for performance cruising when the moment calls. Her twin MAN engines deliver 1,120 hp and can be engaged during light wind conditions and enables Rox Star to still cruise at 12 knots while doing so.
A truly unique creation, the sailing yacht Rox Star has been developed by Oguz Marin Bodrum to a design by K-Architectes, Geneva and supervised by build-captain Jean-Claude Vau, to meet the owner’s exact requirements of a sailing yacht that could offer high levels of comfort in a safe and performance-ready package. Her traditional Turkish style is complemented by modern touches and equipment on board that would make any instantly feel at home.
