The pitch: In a nutshell, Lampuga make electric surfboards. Although these are nothing new, with Spanish company Onean already creating electric surfboards which make waves redundant, there are numerous factors that set Lampuga apart from the rest. Firstly, their boards are the fastest in the world with speeds of up to 34 mph. Secondly, as well as offering a stable inflatable version for beginners, Lampuga has also created an electric surfboard specifically for coastal rescues. The first of its kind, it’s not hard to imagine this becoming the standard for lifeguards across the world.

Cost: Founded by Benjamin Köhnsen, Lampuga is seeking €250,000 through crowdfunding with investments starting at €250.
