The French NBA Star, Tony Parker, has ordered a 35-meter Kando 110 from Ava Yachts. It’s scheduled to be delivered in 2020, and its price is estimated to cost around €6,650,000.
Before Tony Parker ended up picking Ava Yachts as the shipyard to build his order, he, along with his technical and advisory team, as well as his captain and crew, visited the Antalya-based yard three times.
This new Kando yacht will have 6 cabins which can accommodate up to 12 guests, as well as conditions for a crew of up to 6 members. The ship will be built out of steel and aluminum, counting with a speed of around of 14 knots as well as a range of 6,400 nautical miles.
One relevant feature that is planned to be featured in this upcoming yacht is a beach club with a swimming platform as well as a light. The decoration of the yacht, often described in several sources as “contemporary” was an element which was picked by both Parker and his wife.
The Chairman and Founder of AvA Yachts, Atilla Kucukdiker has stated that he and his team feel “immensely proud” that a celebrity like Tony Parker has placed his trust in them at an early development of the Kando series of yachts, promising to deliver a yacht which promises to “surpass all his expectations.”
Tony Parker is one of the most outstanding athletes of the NBA, specifically for having won four NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs. Now, at 36 years old he’s playing for the Charlotte Hornets with a salary of $5 million a year. It is estimated that Parker has won over $165 million during his 18 years in the league.
On a side note, a hull of the Kando 110 will be exhibited at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2020.
