Known for providing timeless and innovative vessels, Hinckley Yachts has always been a force to be reckoned with in the industry. In the early 90s, the company has been to break design boundaries by launching its first Picnic Boat, the striking Dasher, which is still a hit to this day due to its sleek and lengthened design. Now, for a little twist, the shipyard has backed up this stunning vessel with electric power, being the first yacht to be distinguished as a fully electric luxury day boat.
The new version of the shipyard’s 29-foot Dasher is powered by twin 80hp electric inboard motors, with BMW lithium batteries which can reach a 40-mile range.

“Dasher is the lightest Hinckley Yacht ever created. With a carbon-epoxy composite hull and carbon stringers, Dasher is light and sleek, bringing together performance and propulsion like never before. The shape of the future is also the sound of silence. Quiet propulsion and zero emissions make Dasher the best way to spend time on the water with family and friends.”
The Maine-based builder used 3-D printing to manufacture the most complex parts of the helm console to reduce the weight. The touchscreen shows off a frameless windshield that raises and lowers when needed. The magnificent new version of Dasher is expected to be delivered in summer 2018.
