Super Yacht Times, Sea Level design & engineering and Heesen Yachts are always on the lookout for inspiration and talent. That is why together hey have initiated the Yacht Design Talent Award 2015.
Below the invitation by Heesen Yachts do the Yacht Design Talent Award 2015:
“We invite students to design a specific space on a yacht. And what is the nicest place on a super yacht? Exactly! Outside in the sun relaxing with your family and friends. The most upper deck is the place to be. It’s called the sundeck but there is more to do: relaxing, drinking, eating, being active etc. Think about how people onboard can enjoy this space to the max. In the day, in the night. You will come up with something. We like to be inspired by fresh ideas. So don’t hesitate to sign in if you don’t know anything about super yachts! That is an extra reason!”

The basis for this contest is the sundeck of the 50 metre super yachts series, exampled by the beautiful sister ships Satori and Monaco Wolf (in the pictures). Once you signed in we will provide you with drawings and details so you can start designing.
The winning design won’t just get a prize and be put away in a drawer, but really will be used to make a final design to be part of the concept portfolio of Heesen Yachts.
This design contest is only for students. So if you are no student, start studying again!
The deadline to send your work is August 15. Take your paper and pencil on your holiday and be inspired in the sun.
At the Monaco Yacht Show 2015 September 23-26 the winner will be announced.
A Jury will be formed from experts from the super yacht industry. But social media will also be an important part of the review.
