The Largest International Boat Show featured a diverse range of yachts that are making waves within the industry and 42m Project Cayman by Heesen Yachts is no exception to that rule. Specially conceived for the Americas, this aluminium superyacht showcases Dutch quality and Italian style and is going to be the point of reference when cruising through shallow waters.
In a collaboration with Omega Architects and Hot Lab, they designed the yacht having in consideration the lightness of the yacht and they also installed twin MTU engines. In terms of speed, the yacht can reach 25 knots.
Portraying essentially the same functions as a beach club, the yacht is characterised for its spacious sky lounge on the bridge deck.
According to Antonio Romero from Hot Lab, “the interiors are inspired by the Caribbean; the colours represent the sand, the blue of the water, the textures, the feeling… it’s a summer home, Caribbean style. The furniture is loose and it’s not the typical bulky furniture you see inside many yachts. We tried to create something light. The material selection is also inspired by the Caribbean, with natural materials – we even have coconut tiles to create the Caribbean sensation.” Let’s take a look at Project Cayman’s phenomenal interiors:
Many people have shown interested in Project Cayman after a sensational showing at FLIBS, adding to this, Thom Conboy explained that “we have Galactica Super Nova here which has also been very well received, so for Heesen, we’re attracting interest in every size range right now.”
