Piet Boon is recognized as one of the best interior designers on an international level, with a portfolio filled with amazing homes, offices, hotels and now, superyachts. In every project, the designer commits to each detail such as furniture, door hardware, bath and bed linen, lamps, fireplaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and more. In this case, Luxury Yachts would like to talk to you about Boon’s latest project, a custom superyacht named The Mangusta, with a unique signature and exclusive design.

The Studio Piet Boon was responsible to produce, to generate and to create the contemporary interior design of The Mangusta Yacht, the fourth hull in the Maxi Open 110 series by Italy’s Overmarine Group. Built and made especially for an exclusive client, this 33.8-meter two-decked superyacht features smooth and sophisticated exterior design from Stefano Righini.

The design studio owned by the top interior designer worked in collaboration with the shipyard’s in-house design and decoration office to create a unique and fully custom modern yacht that obviously expresses the comfort and luxury the owner had in mind for guests. Some of the superyacht’s features sit on its 33.8m, along with a motor yacht that is being constructed by Overmarine in Italy.

The expensive yacht’s interior design and configuration have been made and created by Piet Boon to securely accommodate up to 8 guests overnight in 4 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 1 double cabin, and 1 twin cabin. The superyacht is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

About dimensions, the Mangusta superyacht features a planing grp hull and grp superstructure, with teak decks. When it comes to its performance, it is capable of a top speed of 33 knots and comfortably cruises at 30 knots with noise and vibrations at a minimum thanks to the use of waterjet propulsion.

Furthermore, the yacht designed by the designer includes the presence of a gyroscopic stabilization system that optimizes comfort both at anchor and when cruising.
